What we have for 2016.

New for 2016 is our English made 5 metre Bell Tent, a wonderful spacious tent with good standing room for a quiet break for a couple or even a family holiday.

We have three Sioux Indian Tipis again this year, larger than our older tipi tents.  The largest is 18 feet diameter, and we will have two 16 feet diameter tipis, these will be supported by poles in the traditional style and will offer a pole free interior, they will be fantastic for families.  They have four mattresses in each Sioux Tipi.  Each tipi comes with a picnic table, a fire pit and includes a starter pack and your first bag of logs free. You can bring all your own equipment or hire a Cook Box containing a small gas cooker and gas, saucepans, plates, cutlery, cooking utensils a kettle and much more, making it easier for families with a small car to come camping, or why not come by train, we are 4.5 miles from our nearest stations so you may want to walk here, alternatively you could get a taxi.  We still have two Tipi Style tents available and with each you will get two sleeping mattresses and three sleeping mats and they are ideal for families of up to two adults and three children.  They will also sleep a maximum of four adults.  With each Tipi you will get a fire pit and a wooden picnic table, you will also get a bag of logs and kindling wood plus a firelighter.  You will need to bring with you good quality sleeping bags (it does get quite cold at night even in July and August), torches, pots and pans for cooking and perhaps a kettle and your own airbeds if sleeping mats are not sufficient.

For prices see our Camping page.  Our wonderful village Butchers sell good quality locally produced meat, Ideal for barbecues, cheeses, fruit and vegetables in season, milk and bread and a host of other goodies including their Award Winning home made Kentish Pasties plus jams, chutneys and relishes and local fruit juice.

Give your car a break, there are many things to do locally without your car.

Cycle Hire, we have a selection of bikes we hire out at £10 per day we supply helmets and High Visibility vests, maps and routes and inspiration for your day out, sorry we don't have children's bikes.

There are many interesting places to visit and a very good network of footpaths to enable you to get there.  We have map cards with walking routes, or borrow an Ordnance Survey map from us.  We have a very good knowledge of the local area and can suggest places to walk or cycle to.  For more walking suggestions go to: and select 'Walking' from the side menu.  On the same menu select 'Attractions', some are within walking distance the rest you can easily visit by bike.  There is a good map with many suggestion for you to explore and enjoy a healthy day out.
